Paya Bay Resort is comprised of over 22 acres of the very diverse terrain. Two natural beaches, private coves, ridges, cliffs, humongous rock formations, wetlands, and even a small island! The vegetation is equally diverse, including species that grow right in the saltwater (mangroves) to species that seem to grow right out of the rocks. From coconut palms to dense tropical jungle to cactii. Several endangered species of animals find refuge here. These include the white-crowned pigeon (Patagioenas leucocephala), the green iguana (Iguana iguana), and the spiny-tailed rock iguana (Ctenosaura oedirhina). A growing network of nature trails and paths is being built throughout the property, making all this natural beauty easily accessible and fun to explore.
